SpaceX: Making life Multi-planetary.

The National Foundation of Patriotism wishes to offer a thumbnail overview of the amazing origin and future of SpaceX.

Our purpose is to spark the imagination and point to the fascinating features of this wondrous program. For deeper research, explore SpaceX.com.

“You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great – and
that’s what being a spacefaring civilization is all about. It’s about believing in the future and
thinking that the future will be better than the past. And I can’t’ think of anything more exciting
than going out there and being among the stars” – Elon Musk, Founder and CEO of SpaceX

Goal: to create fully reusable launch vehicles powerful enough and capable to carry humans to Mars and other destinations in our solar system.

Features of SpaceX

Falcon 9
World’s first orbital class rocket capable of re-flight. A reusable two-stage rocket for safe reliable transport of people and payloads. The purpose of reusability is to re-fly the most expensive parts of the rocket to drive down the cost of space access.

Falcon Heavy
World’s most powerful rocket. Capable of lifting 141,000 pounds / 64 metric tons into orbit. Composed of 3 Falcon 9 nine engine core. Its 27 Merlin engines together generate over 5 million pounds of thrust at liftoff. Comparable to approximately eighteen 747 aircraft.

Dragon
Sends humans and cargo into space. The first private spacecraft capable of carrying up to 7 passengers to and from Earth orbit and beyond. The only spacecraft currently flying capable of returning large amounts of cargo to Earth.

Starship
Service to Earth orbit, Moon, Mars and beyond, the Starship is a fully reusable transportation system created to carry both crew and cargo. Designed to deliver satellites further and at lower cost per launch. With the ability to carry over 100 metric tonnes to Earth orbit, it is currently the world’s most powerful launch vehicle. Starship creates possibilities for new missions including space telescopes even larger than the James Webb. The Raptor engine that powers the Starship is the first full flow reusable methalox staged-combustion engine ever flown.

Human Spacelift
Offering commercial flights to private passengers to both Earth and Lunar orbit.

  • Mission: Earth orbit, experience the blue planet from over 300KM up.
  • Mission: Space Station transporting humans to the orbiting laboratory in the sky.
  • Mission: Moon, returning humans to our lunar neighbor.
  • Mission: Mars and beyond, the road to making humanity multi-planetary.
